Flail mowers
have become a very interesting proposition for many of our customers. Some call them mowers for "special tasks", because they can easily mow tall grass or heavily overgrown areas. As the name suggests, flail mowers
are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails placed on the cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at the appropriate speed around its axis, shearing what is above the set height.
The EF 115 4FARMER flail mower,
commonly known as a " mulcher
", is a massive flail mower that is ideal for mowing grassy wastelands, meadows and pastures, weedy areas or harvest residues. It is definitely a product that will also fulfill its task in municipal companies when taking care of green areas.
On which areas will this mower be used in 100%? brake, grassy wastelands, roadsides, orchards and plant nurseries, green areas, weedy areas, meadows, pastures, removal of crop residues. If you own a flail mower, it is very important to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This ensures that mowing will be efficient and effective. The flail mower not only mows, but also mulches the mowed material. What is it all about? This is a technique of mowing grass/other organic materials and mulching the cut material so that it is a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. The advantage of mulching is also preventing soil erosion, slowing down the growth of weeds and, importantly, depriving us of unwanted mowed grass, which is often an additional problem.
We can mulch grass, crop residues, thanks to which we reduce the amount of post-harvest residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting it from pests inhabiting, for example, in the stems of the ground parts of plants.
The flail mower (mulcher)
EF 115 4FARMER
has a cutting width of 115 cm, while the offer includes seven available widths. In addition to a solid working shaft equipped with horizontally arranged shredding flails, the mower is also equipped with a rear (following) shaft. It allows you to adjust the mowing height and keep the mower at the selected height. The drive from the tractor's PTO shaft is 540 rpm.
The machine is ultimately equipped with "Y" type knives. It is possible to replace them with flail hammers in the later operation of the machine or when ordering for an appropriate fee.
When choosing a flail mower,
it is very important to match the mower to the power and weight of our tractor. The flail mower (mulcher) EF 115
requires a minimum of 15 hp with a large tractor weight.
